What is the Resurgent?

There is a greatness in our generation, a greatness of belief that there is more to life than what we see, that our actions can make a lasting impact and difference on others. So we are on a journey to understand and experience the transcendent and to find a cause worthy of our lives.

theResurgent is a growing community and movement where young adults can explore and experience the person who is behind more than we can see and for whose cause we should spend our life, Jesus.

Resurgent is Latin for “rising up to life”. theResurgent is both a community and a movement of young adults; college, single and married, from various walks of life and from different parts of our city, who seek to know life, most specifically life in Jesus Christ. We recognize that each individual in our community is at a different place spiritually. Some are seekers, not sure what to believe; others are just beginning their faith journeys; others have been away from church for a while and are returning; some have been walking with Jesus for a long time. Regardless of where you find yourself today, we want to emphasize that we are a “come as you are” community… no perfect people allowed. While each person’s journey is unique, we value walking together because of the encouragement and perspective offered by that companionship – and we are glad that you are here.
